1. Agreement to These Terms
By creating an account, purchasing or activating a license, downloading the plugin, or using the website, portal or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you use the service for an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
2. Service Description
Malware Shield WP provides WordPress security software and related SaaS features, which may include malware scanning, suspicious-file review, quarantine tools, request firewall controls, security monitoring, licensed updates, reports, support tickets and migration requests.
Features available to you depend on your active package, license status, site limit and any separately agreed service scope.
3. Accounts and Security
- You must provide accurate account and license information.
- You are responsible for protecting passwords, license keys and administrator access.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account or license use.
- You may not share an account or license beyond the site or user limits of your package.
4. Licenses and Site Limits
A license grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the applicable plugin features during the active subscription or lifetime term shown in your account. A license may be activated only on the number of websites allowed by the purchased package.
Domain migrations may require approval. We may deactivate duplicate, abusive, fraudulent or unauthorised activations.
5. Subscriptions, Billing and Renewal
Prices, billing cycles, site limits and included services are displayed in the applicable package or quotation. Subscription plans may renew until cancelled. You are responsible for applicable taxes, payment-provider charges and keeping billing details current.
Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not automatically create a refund. Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy and mandatory applicable law.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not use the service to attack, scan or access websites without authorisation; distribute malware; bypass licensing; reverse engineer protected service components; interfere with the SaaS infrastructure; submit unlawful material; or use the service in a way that harms other customers.
7. Website Backups and Security Decisions
Security tools can identify suspicious files or settings, but no automated scanner can guarantee detection of every threat or determine every file safely without context. You remain responsible for maintaining current off-site backups and reviewing findings before deletion, cleanup, quarantine or firewall changes.
8. Support and Service Requests
Support is provided according to the active package and reasonable availability. You should provide accurate site information, screenshots, error details and authorised access when required. Response times are targets unless a written service-level agreement states otherwise.
9. Updates and Compatibility
We may release security, compatibility and feature updates. WordPress, PHP, themes, plugins, hosting rules and third-party services change independently, so uninterrupted compatibility with every environment is not guaranteed. You should test important changes on staging and keep recoverable backups.
10. Intellectual Property
The service, branding, SaaS interface, documentation and proprietary service components remain the property of their respective owners. Open-source plugin components remain subject to their applicable open-source license. These terms do not grant ownership of the service, trademarks or hosted infrastructure.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, material breach, abusive activity, security risk, fraud, excessive unauthorised usage or legal requirements. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct the issue.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise that every threat will be detected, that a website will never be compromised, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Malware Shield WP and its provider will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption or third-party claims. Any total liability relating to the service will not exceed the amount paid for the affected service during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect product, security, legal or operational changes. The effective date will be updated when material changes are published. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms, subject to mandatory legal rights.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the legal contact email shown at the bottom of this page.
